BEHAVIORAL EQ® Assessments

A key part of personal development is the understanding of our strengths and weaknesses. TRACOM’s Behavioral EQ Assessments and Profiles provide critical insight regarding the behavioral intelligence skills of your people and your organization. Developed and updated over three years, the assessment is a valid and reliable measure of emotional intelligence and its subcomponents. Importantly, this is a third-generation EQ Model built on the latest research around brain function.
The online multi-rater profile provides the most thorough assessment. Training participants (Learners) invite people who know them in the workplace (Raters) to complete an online survey. They also complete their own self-assessment. During the training they receive a thorough Behavioral EQ Profile which indicates their overall EQ score and scores on each subcomponent. The ability to compare how the Learner’s self-score compares to the score established by Raters creates an important learning opportunity.
A self-perception version of the Assessment and Profile provides an easy-to-administer and inexpensive option for emotional intelligence skill development.
Behavioral EQ Concepts Guide and Self-Perception Questionnaire
The Behavioral EQ® Concepts Guide and Self-Perception Questionnaire combine the paper-based self-perception questionnaire with a Concepts Guide to help an individual understand the fundamentals of emotional intelligence, measure their own abilities and improve their performance. Participants will learn to recognize the meaning and importance of Behavioral EQ. In addition, they can recognize that everyone can improve their Behavioral EQ skills and begin to create an action plan focused on developing these skills.

Behavioral EQ Self-Perception Profile
The Behavioral EQ® Self-Perception Profile uses a self-completed online questionnaire to measure a person’s own view of their Emotional Intelligence. An electronic profile is generated that explains the results and provides guidance about effectively applying Behavioral EQ. The Behavioral EQ Concepts Guide is included with the profile.

Behavioral EQ Multi-Rater Profile
The Behavioral EQ® Multi-Rater Profile provides the most comprehensive picture of a person’s Emotional Intelligence. It uses an online, multi-rater questionnaire and provides the most detailed report including in-depth information on the four dimensions of Behavioral EQ: Emotional Intelligence – Self, Behavioral Intelligence – Self, Emotional Intelligence – Others, Behavioral Intelligence – Others. Certification is also required when using a multi-rater Profile.

Behavioral EQ Applications Guide
The Behavioral EQ® Applications Guide provides tips for each of the areas of Behavioral EQ and references interesting research on EQ and related topics. Following these strategies will boost individual and organizational performance. It starts by describing a few strategies for change that are relevant across all the exercises. No matter what you choose to work on, keep these strategies in mind. The next section provides a review of Behavioral EQ concepts, followed by descriptions of what Behavioral EQ looks like in practice. Here you will read descriptions of people with high Behavioral EQ, which can be helpful as you begin to strategies your development plan. As you begin to strategize, the next section provides an action-planning template that you can use to focus on specific elements of the model that you want to work on. This is followed by the main section of the guide – strategies for enhancing Behavioral EQ. This is where you will find the various techniques for enhancing your abilities.

The Developing Behavioral EQ course — or any TRACOM Social Intelligence program — can be easily deployed at your location, anywhere in the world. We can certify your instructors to facilitate the program or can provide our own world-class facilitators to your facility. All of our courses have been rigorously tested in the field for maximum impact and workplace results. In some cases, geographic or job role norms are available to further increase Learner acceptance.
Organizations often include TRACOM courses as part of an ongoing open enrollment training program or include them as part of a corporate university effort. And with comprehensive, turn-key facilitator materials, running a resiliency program can be done almost anytime or anywhere.
